ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 27, 2023) — Arrowhead Youth and Family Services will hold its annual auto auction and craft fair on May 20, 2023. A Quad City tradition, Arrowhead’s auction helps support the non-profit facility’s residential treatment for at-risk youth, ages 12 -21. In addition to the very popular vehicle auction, this year’s event will feature a craft show showcasing the talents of area crafters.

Auto auction registration begins at 8:30AM in the William E Nelson Auto Shop with the auction kicking off at 10AM. A photo identification is required for purchases at the auto auction. Payment can be made by debit card, credit card, cash, or personal check. Titles will be released with cash payment, debit card, or credit cards; there will be a ten-day hold on checks. Auctioneers and clerks are donating their services. Questions regarding vehicle purchase at the auction may contact Mike Wilson at the Arrowhead Auto Shop, mwilson@arrowheadyouth.org.

Vehicle donations are always welcome. Those interested in donating are invited to fill out the form at www.arrowheadyouth.org/donations-purchases or may contact Mike Wilson at the Arrowhead Auto Shop, mwilson@arrowheadyouth.org. All vehicle donations require a valid title in hand at the time of donation. Arrowhead accepts all motor vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, boats).

“Push, pull, or tow it in.” Even if a vehicle does not run, it will provide an opportunity for Arrowhead students to study mechanics. As part of Arrowhead’s educational program, Arrowhead residents learn auto maintenance and repair at the state-of-the-art William E Nelson Auto Shop. Residents develop their skills of repair and maintenance and detailing. Donors unable to transport the vehicle can arrange for a free pick-up.

Plans are in the works for another successful craft show. A ten-foot space is $30. The craft show will be held outside but indoors if inclement weather. Those interested in being a craft-show vendor may contact Aonna Milefchik at amilefchik@arrowheadyouth.org and Jennifer Kelly at jkelly@arrowheadyouth.org.
