ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 12, 2023) — For the third consecutive year, an anonymous donor has made a gift to pay for the outstanding tuition balance for Augustana College students. This year’s gift of $50,000 benefited seventeen Augustana College seniors.

The funding, awarded to both domestic and international students, enabled the students to register for the spring semester. The anonymous donor wished to benefit students experiencing a temporary hardship and ensure they remain on track to complete their college degree.

President Andrea Talentino said the gift has a large impact.

“I’m thankful for Augustana’s culture of generosity and support,” Pres Talentino said when she learned of this year’s gift. “We know our students are the leaders of tomorrow. Gifts like this help them today and set an example for their own future generosity.”

Augustana awards scholarships and grants based on academics, talents and/or interests to 100% of its students. Individuals wishing to give to Augustana students may visit augustana.edu/giving.
