GENESEO, ILLINOIS (April 17, 2023) — The 2023 Geneseo Artwalk will take place Saturday, April 29, 2023, in Downtown Geneseo, Illinois. In addition to the 2023 Artwalk, the second mural of the Geneseo Mural Project will begin to come to life during the event as well. Geneseo will be full of art during the last weekend of April.

Downtown businesses in Geneseo will host art performances in stores while artists will be set up on State Street featuring original works and live art demonstrations such as painting, sculpting, woodworking, and more. Live music, interactive exhibits, and food trucks will also be featured. Many local students and artists will be on hand to share their art with guests of the Geneseo Artwalk. Shake off your cabin fever and join us in downtown Geneseo on Saturday, April 29, to help us celebrate our local art community.

The second mural of the Geneseo Mural Project will coincide with the 2023 Geneseo Artwalk. Local mural artists MuralSoup Co LLC, who are based in Davenport, Iowa, have been commissioned by the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce to create and paint the mural, which will be located behind the All In Stitches building, located at the intersection of S State and E Main Streets. A Projection Party will be held on Thursday April 27 from 7:30–9PM, behind All In Stiches and in the First Lutheran Church Parking lot. Live music and free snow-cones will greet guests who want to get a first glimpse of Geneseo’s newest mural! Guests can also meet the artists and visit with fellow art enthusiasts.
