Two flavors of beat-heavy, exploratory soul/R&B come to Davenport's Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel on July 16 in the form of the Austin-based bands Black Pumas and Los Coast.

The formidable talents of Ronnie Baker Brooks, Samantha Fish, Victor Wainwright, Tab Benoit, and many others will be showcased when the Mississippi Valley Blues Society hosts the 2019 Mississippi Valley Blues Festival in East Moline venue Murphy Park at The Bend, the hotly anticipated July 5 and 6 event boasting exhilarating sets with national, regional, and local blues artists on two outdoor stages, plus interactive presentations for kids in the Blues Society's popular BlueSKool program.

Bluegrass, funk, roots, reggae, and plenty of rock will be on tap, and in the great outdoors, when the area rockers of The Dawn host the fifth-annual Dawn & On Music Festival, the eagerly awaited July 6 event boasting food and beverage vendors, arts & crafts, and nine exhilarating concert sets by local and regional acts, all taking place – for the first time – in Rock Island's Schwiebert Riverfront Park.

Described by the San Diego Reader as “a true Motown-glam show-stopper” and with Consequence of Sound stating that “his vocals and personality go well with just about everything,” Diane Coffee – the stage moniker of California-based musician and actor Shaun Fleming – headlines a Moeller Nights concert on June 28, bringing his teasing pop sensibility and singular style to local audiences in support of the artist's new album Internet Arms.
