Illinois Central College Awards Spring 2014 Graduates

EAST PEORIA, IL (08/27/2014)(readMedia)-- Illinois Central College, East Peoria, presented diplomas and/or certificates to nearly 1,000 students who completed their program of study during the Spring 2014 semester. Graduates were formally recognized during ceremonies May 17 at the ICC CougarPlex.

Area students recognized include :

Thomas S Carrigan of East Moline (61244) -- Associate in Applied Science Degree

Austin H Brasmer of Moline (61265) -- Associate in Applied Science Degree

Eric M Kohrs of Moline (61265) -- Associate in Applied Science Degree

Marissa Elizabeth Runyon of Rock Island (61201) -- Associate in Science Degree

Shawn Bainter Graduates from Illinois Central College

EAST PEORIA, IL (03/11/2014)(readMedia)-- Shawn M Bainter, of East Moline, IL, graduated from Illinois Central College, East Peoria, with a/an Associate in Science Degree. More than 800 students met the graduation requirements for the Fall 2013 semester.

Started in 1967, ICC is a comprehensive public community college that provides transfer programs for students who intend to pursue a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university as well as career programs for students who plan to gain skills and knowledge to enter a career.

Jacqueline Twing Among ICC Athletes Earning Dean's List Honor for Academics at Illinois Central College

EAST PEORIA, IL (02/12/2014)(readMedia)-- Jacqueline Marie Twing, of Rock Island, IL, was named to the Dean's List at Illinois Central College for the Fall 2013 semester. The academic honor is presented to students who earn a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average on a 4.0 grading scale.

Local Students Earn Dean's List Honors at Illinois Central College

EAST PEORIA, IL (02/04/2014)(readMedia)-- Illinois Central College, East Peoria, released the names of students who earned Dean's List honors during the Fall 2013 semester. The following local students received the honor:

Emerson D Fritz, of Muscatine, IA

Eric M Kohrs, of Moline, IL

The honor is given to students who earn a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average based on a 4.0 grading scale.

Dayton Coyne Wins Honors in National Swine Registry Contest

ICC Team Wins Top Collegiate Team

EAST PEORIA, IL (06/18/2013)(readMedia)-- The Illinois Central College livestock judging team recently competed in the 2013 National Picture Judging Contest sponsored by the National Swine Registry. Open to youth and adult participants, the contest includes divisions for 4-H, FFA, and collegiate teams. Participants had to rank classes of swine from photos published in the Registry's December 2012 issue of Seedstock Edge.

The team is coached by Grant Grebner.

Of the 23 collegiate teams who competed, Illinois Central College teams placed first and fifth overall. Western Illinois University placed second, and teams from Black Hawk College - East Campus placed third and fourth.

Local Student Earns Academic Honors at Illinois Central College

EAST PEORIA, IL (02/29/2012)(readMedia)-- Illinois Central College, East Peoria, released the names of students who earned academic honors during the Fall 2011 semester. The following local students received the honor:

Anthony Douglas Brodt, Jr., of Silvis, IL -- President's List

The honor is based on a 4.0 grading scale. Students who earned a perfect 4.0 were named to the President's List, and students who earned a 3.5 to 3.99 were named to the Dean's List.
