ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 26, 2019) — Celebrate the end of 2019 as you give 2020 an early welcome at this New Year's Eve event. The updated format for this New Year's Eve event at the Botanical Center includes a cash bar with champagne and roses available to purchase for your sweetheart. There is no RSVP required and access to the bar is included in the general admission fee.

Winter Nights Winter Lights Exhibit

The gardens will be in winter bloom with over 100,000 glowing lights during the third annual Winter Nights Winter Lights.

Bundle up, stroll the gardens at night then warm up inside at the free hot chocolate bar. Bring the kids for crafts or plan your visit on one of our special event nights.

 

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 15, 2019) — Join us for a cocktail party to celebrate the opening of Winter Nights Winter Lights and be among the first to see the lights before the public opening. Enjoy 100,000 lights both inside and outside as you stroll our gardens and celebrate the start of the holiday season.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 18, 2019) — On Sunday, October 20, 1-3PM, celebrate Halloween and the fall harvest at the Botanical Center. Show off your costume, compete in races and paint a pumpkin to take home.

One pumpkin per family please, while supplies last.

Painted Pumpkins is part of our month-long programming called Pumpkin Extravaganza.

 

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 9, 2019) — Your dog is welcome to spend the afternoon out with you in the gardens. The afternoon is packed with activities for your four-legged doggie friends and human two-legged companions.

Free admission Sunday, 10/13, 1-3PM with donation of dog or cat food, treats, or a toy that is not stuffed that will be distributed to local shelters.

Bring your flashlights and explore the nooks and crannies of the Sun Garden — search for spiders, bats, jack-o-lanterns, and toads as you wander down the darkened pathways.

Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution is the 2019 theme for this day dedicated to bird longevity.

​Vendors will gather to discuss when and where these creatures travel and settle.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 11, 2019) — The popular art and music event is back for its third year in the gardens and more family activities have been added for 2019.

Local and regional artists including jewelers, photographers, painters, woodworkers, fabric artists, and others who are inspired by nature to create will exhibit and sell their art pieces at this outdoor show. Many price points are offered for original works for art for the home and garden.
