When John Lennon was killed on Dec. 8, 1980, he left behind some 200 hours of film and video footage, most of it never publicly seen. The people who made Imagine: John Lennon had access to all of it - and we're giving you a chance to see the movie they created on the Putnam GIANT screen as part of the "Imagine An Evening with John Lennon" event.

Did you know that 1,246 people attended our free, community-wide photo event in January? Due to popular demand, we are continuing the 150th year celebration with a SECOND photo shoot at the Putnam Museum & Science Center!
The Putnam’s new Discovery Dome will be open to the public on
Saturday, April 15 with "Flight Adventures" showing at 11 a.m, 12 p.m
and 2 p.m.
 
The Discovery Dome is a portable, fully immersive planetarium that uses a 360-degree projector to show earth, space, and life science topics in an entertaining, scientifically accurate and educationally inspiring manner.
 
Love Beatles music? Love saving a little cash? Well, buy your tickets at the PUTNAM for LIVERPOOL LEGENDS playing at the Waterfront Convention Center on April 13 and save $10.

What you can expect:
  • Our fully immersive Discovery Dome planetarium will be open with FREE showings throughout the night.
  • Dr. Paul Sipiera, President and CEO Planetary Studies Foundation, will give a presentation about "How and Where to View The Great American Total Solar Eclipse” at 7 p.m.

Summer Camps at the Putnam are an adventure in hands-on fun led by our experienced museum educators! Let your kids spend the summer discovering, inventing and engaging in amazing experiences at the Putnam. From half- to full-day options, there is something for kids Kindergarten through eighth grade!
