Iowa Hotel and Lodging Association (IHLA) Announces Inaugural Honorees for Statewide Industry Awards

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA — (September 25, 2023) The Iowa Hotel and Lodging Association (IHLA) has announced its inaugural honorees for the group’s statewide industry awards. Each honoree was selected by the IHLA Board of Directors and will be recognized at an awards luncheon on October 2, 2023 at The Rewind Hotel in West Des Moines. Each will also be featured in videos on the IHLA’s Youtube channel.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 8, 2023) — The Iowa Restaurant Association today released its fifth class of 40 “Women to Watch” in Iowa's Hospitality Industry. The 2023 honorees exemplify both the diversity of workforce and breadth and depth of career opportunities available to women in hospitality.

2023 Iowa's Top Mixologist Named at Public Event

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 9, 2023) — Eleven top mixologists from across Iowa were invited to compete at the Iowa Restaurant Association's State Mixology Championships held May 4 at Smash Park in West Des Moines. Dubuque Mixologist Carl Busch of Hotel Julien was named this year's champion. Competitors created cocktails for a panel of judges during the day and were judged on taste, appearance, overall creativity, and personality.

Iowa Mixology Championships Will Name State's Top Mixologist

August 15, 2014 - West Des Moines , IA -Twelve mixologists from across the state have battled their way to the finals in hopes of being crowned Iowa's Top Mixologist - and the public is invited to participate. The 2014 Iowa Restaurant Association Mixology Championships will be held August 27 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Americana Restaurant & Lounge in Downtown Des Moines. Attendees can sample all 24 creative competition cocktails and cast their vote for the People's Choice award winner. In addition to cocktail samples, complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tickets are $30 and this event is expected to sell out. Tickets are available at www.restaurantiowa.com
