Illinois Chamber Releases Results of Independent Contractor Survey

SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS (March 6, 2024) — Independent contractors are an integral part of the Illinois economy and an essential means of work for many of our state’s residents. Two-fifths of Illinois adults have experience working as an independent contractor, with 14% currently doing so. These independent contractors value the flexibility of controlling when, where, and how much to work.

Illinois Chamber of Commerce Announces Additions to Legislative Affairs Team

Effective immediately, Keith Wheeler, has been appointed to the role of Executive Director of Government Affairs and Technology Council. Jordan Ryan is appointed as the Director of Legislative Affairs.

Sandoval’s appointment as CEO follows a national search led by Koya Partners, the executive recruiting firm focused on mission-driven leadership. As CEO, Sandoval will lead the Chamber in representing the business community to champion policies that support growth across Illinois’ dynamic and diverse economy.
