BETTENDORF, IOWA (July 18, 2023) — The Ascentra Scholarship Program has awarded its 2023 scholarships to fifteen area student members of the credit union. These fifteen future leaders were selected to receive $1,000 each to help get one step closer to achieving their academic goals.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 30, 2022) — Ascentra Credit Union is pleased to announce that Beth Grabin has joined their Senior Management Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She brings to the position 22 years of finance and accounting experience through positions held with organizations throughout Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 9, 2022) — The Ascentra Credit Union Foundation (ACUF) has partnered with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois since 2020 to help fund the Girl Scouts Community Outreach Series. This series directly supports more than 1,100 at-risk girls in the underserved areas of Moline, Rock Island, Davenport, and Muscatine by building courage, confidence, and character through a Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 12, 2022) — On average, nearly 350 young adults, ages 16 to 18, are referred for detainment by Scott County law-enforcement each year. Safer Foundation Quad Cities’ Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is focused on serving youth who have disengaged from high school and/or have been involved with the criminal legal system.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 29, 2022) — In conjunction with Pay It Forward Day on April 28, 2022, the Ascentra Credit Union Foundation (ACUF), the philanthropic arm of Ascentra Credit Union, has contributed $50,000 towards the expansion of the River Bend Food Bank’s facilities.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 9, 2022) — The results are in, and the members of Ascentra Credit Union have raised more than $23,000 through the credit union’s Ride 50 auto-loan promotion during the 2021 holiday season. Beginning in October 2021, Ascentra members who qualified for an auto loan or refinance received $50 to help with holiday spending, as well as a $50 donation to the Salvation Army in their community.
