DAVENPORT, IA – May 2018 –Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE Cooking for One workshop for anyone who has lost a loved one due to cancer on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport, IA). It can be difficult to find the motivation to cook after the death of a loved one, especially when shifting from cooking from one to two.

DAVENPORT, Dec. 19, 2018 – The Kenneth H. McKay Center for Breast Health at Genesis has received the highest level of recognition from National Quality Measures for Breast Health (NQMBC).

The Kenneth H. McKay Center for Breast Health is only the second center in Iowa and is the only center in the region to earn recognition as a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence. Only 53 centers nationally have earned the recognition.

A Group of QC organizations is sponsoring a FREE MINORITY HEALTH CONFERENCE, April 21, 2018 at Central High School in Davenport, 1120 Main Street Davenport Iowa, lunch is included. Registration for the event will begin at 9:00 AM and the conference will begin at 10 AM. Bus transportation is available from various locations in the Quad Cities.

Stress Management Program Gives Patients Information and Ways to Manage Their Health throughout the Cancer Journey DAVENPORT, IA – APRIL 2018 – Beginning Saturday, April 21, 2018, Gilda’s Club is offering an online program to help people diagnosed with cancer, including those undergoing treatment, to manage the stress of diagnosis and treatment. Gilda’s Club received a grant from the Iowa Cancer Consortium to address the unique needs of young adults 18-39 with cancer.
