A team of students from one or more of your local middle schools is participating in an upcoming competition to determine the team to represent Iowa in the middle school National Finals of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science's National Science Bowl (NSB) (http://science.energy.gov/
The winner of the regional competition will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Office of Science's National Science Bowl in late April and the winner of the national competition will win prizes for the team members and their schools.

Below is information about your regional competition, the list of the schools that have teams competing in it and links to downloadable HD video and graphics that could be used for stories. Also, below is a blog that explains more about the National Science Bowl.
