2016 marks the third consecutive year of hosting daily fitness activities at the Fair.

DES MOINES – The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative will partner with the Iowa Alliance of YMCAs to once again host “Fitness on the Hill” at the Iowa State Fair, marking its third year of hosting the activities. Attendees can join YMCA instructors from all over Iowa for daily morning exercises to burn off calories and kick off each day.

Fitness on the Hill begins each morning at 9:30 am on Expo Hill at the State Fairgrounds, and runs until approximately 10 am.

“The State Fair is a great place for Iowans from all over the state to get together and enjoy 11 days of fun, which means it’s also a great opportunity to spread the message about health and wellness in our everyday lives,” said Jami Haberl, Executive Director of the Healthiest State Initiative. “We’re excited to see Iowans engaging in exercise and supporting each other along the way.”
