ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 13, 2024) — The YWCA Quad Cities will host a ribbon-cutting to celebrate their new facility on Monday, June 3, 1PM. They are located at 513 17th Street in Rock Island, Illinois.

Building for the next generation: 55,000 square feet of possibilities! The new YWCA QC building in downtown Rock Island brings the opportunity for a first-of-its-kind learning approach in the Quad Cities.

The “continuity of care” model enhances the relationship between caregivers and young children by keeping them in the same setting with the same team of providers from birth to five. YWCA QC will be the only center in the Quad Cities and only the second center in the state of Illinois to offer this learning model.

In addition to expanded programming and services for youth and adults — the YWCA QC will have something for everyone!

  • Eleven age-appropriate classrooms
  • Dedicated STEAM lab for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math curriculum
  • Family Aquatic Center with lap pool, slide, vortex, and zero-depth area
  • Children’s lending library and cozy area
  • Second floor playground and large activity room
  • Fitness room with cardio and weight equipment
  • Rooftop community commercial kitchen
  • Empowerment Center with computer lab
