CORALVILLE, IOWA (April 15, 2025) — West Music is excited to announce a special two-day guitar restring event at four of its store locations on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26.

In partnership with D’Addario, one of the world’s leading string manufacturers, this event offers local musicians a unique opportunity to refresh their six-string acoustic or electric guitars with premium coated D’Addario strings — completely free of charge.

While the restring is free, West Music encourages attendees to donate $5 or more, with all proceeds benefiting United Action for Youth (UAY), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people through creative opportunities, advocacy, and support services. UAY’s programming includes access to a fully stocked recording studio where local youth can discover, express, and nurture their artistic potential. This event is more than a service — it’s a celebration of music and community.

Visit your local West Music during the event, get your guitar sounding its best, and help uplift young voices through the power of music.
