Wells4Wellness, a local-nonprofit organization based in the Quad-Cities, is announcing a concept contest.

The mission of Wells4Wellness is simple…

Provide safe, clean drinking water to communities in Niger.”

We are opening the contest to our community to submit a concept for a traveling exhibit to be featured in local museums and venues to inform and educate the public about the need for water wells in Niger.

The winning concept will be announced on March 19, 2017. The winning team will receive up to $350 for supplies to build the exhibit. The team will win a $500 prize upon completion of exhibit required by May 19th (60 days from announcement to complete the exhibit). The winning exhibit will be presented at our event on May 21st, 2017. All submissions will receive a letter of acknowledgement from Wells4Wellness.

On March 19th, 2017 Wells 4 Wellness is hosting our second annual

Your Walk, Their Water”: Destination Niger. Event “Fun Raiser” This year our event is being held at the German American Heritage Center, 712 W 2nd Street, Davenport from 6-8PM.

Event will have a silent auction, live music, speaker, and Niger tastings. The event and registration is all free. The Wells4wellness team is asking all Quad City residents to walk to Niger, Africa. How can this be done? (Check website)

Niger is 6,000 miles away from Moline, IL,

Pat is asking local residents to gather a team of people who will walk, run, swim, or bike this distance.
