MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 11, 2023) — By now, we know you've heard of TED and probably thought a time or two, "Hey, I could do that. I've got a story to tell," but something stopped you. Maybe you didn't have a stage to stand on or the support to surround you as you told your truth and so you kept that story inside, waiting for the day you'd be invited to share who you are with the world.

Well, we've got good news.

Today is that day and YOU'VE been invited.

On March 8, 2024, That's What She Said is coming to the Quad Cities, and we need YOUR story to be a part of this one-of-a-kind event. This event is brought to you by Junior League of the Quad Cities, The Beautifull Project, and YWCA of the Quad Cities.

That's What She Said started as a live, one-night event but has grown into a vibrant, national community of women supporting other women, a community we wanted to bring to OUR community so that we can continue to find powerful ways to be connected to each other. If you want your story to be a part of this movement in the Quad Cities, you can apply today! Application is easy — just fill out the form linked below and attach a short video pitch (no more than three minutes). There are no rules about the kind of stories you can share — it can be anything at all that you believe the world needs to know about who you are, about what you do, or about the way you do it. You DO NOT need to be a professional speaker to apply to this event. We will provide all the help you need to prepare for your night on the stage.

So what are you waiting for? The time is NOW. The invitation is CLEAR. We've set the stage. You bring your story. Apply by June 3 at: forms.gle/FReCeTMAgTF6rE6C9  For more information, e-mail thatswhatshesaidqc@gmail.com.

About the presenting sponsors:

Junior League of the Quad Cities is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

The Beautifull Project: A storytelling collective inviting women back to their bodies and into a world where we belong with substance and with strength.

YWCA QC: When women win, we all win. As the only Quad Cities organization uniquely delivering services by women and for women, we empower women by helping them overcome the individual barriers they face. That means overcoming obstacles to truly achieve the health, happiness, and financial security that leads to confidence and dignity. The "W" in our name is more than just a letter in the YWCA acronym, it's our whole purpose. When women need us, we're there. We lift women and their families up by filling a vital gap in the community.
