DES MOINES, IOWA (June 3, 2019) — Here is information about Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley’s schedule this week. The Senate is in session.

Sen. Grassley met with Iowans from the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour, the Iowa Propane Gas Association, the Iowa Health Care Association, the Iowa Chapter of Children Advocacy Centers, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, the Sac and Fox Tribe, the Iowa Home Builders Association, the National Association of Dental Plans, the Distilled Spirits Council, the Auto Alliance Board, the Youth Policy Institute of Iowa, and the Iowa Orthopaedic Society.

Sen Grassley met with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from La Porte City, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, West Des Moines, Ottumwa, Clive, Ankeny, Urbandale, Oelwein, Boone, and Laurel.

Sen Grassley met with Iowa students visiting Washington DC, from the Janesville Community School District, Gladbrook-Reinbeck Junior High School, Lawton Jr High School, and Sioux Center Middle School.

Sen Grassley was on public affairs programs with Dave Levora on WOC in Davenport, Mike Adams on Adams on Agriculture, and Bob Leonard on KNIA in Knoxville.

On Tuesday, June 4 at 10AM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing titled, “The Countdown: Fentanyl Analogues & the Expiring Emergency Scheduling Order.”

On Tuesday, June 4 at 2:30PM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property hearing titled, “The State of Patent Eligibility in America: Part I.”

On Tuesday, June 4 at 5PM (ET), Sen Grassley will speak at the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition Charles L Edson Tax Credit Excellence Awards honoring Aberdeen Apartments from Sioux City.

On Wednesday, June 5 at 8AM (ET), Sen Grassley will speak at the Axios Health Care Event titled, “Beyond 2020: Making Care Affordable.”

On Wednesday, June 5 at 9:45AM (ET), Sen Grassley will lead a Senate Finance Committee hearing titled, “Foreign Threats to Taxpayer — Funded Research: Oversight Opportunities and Policy Solutions.”

On Wednesday, June 5 at 10AM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on nominations.

On Wednesday, June 5 at 2:30PM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property Hearing titled, “The State of Patent Eligibility in America: Part II.”
