WASHINGTON DC (January 10, 2020) — Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles "Chuck" Grassley released the following statement regarding the passing of Chris Allen, Senior Advisor for Benefits and Exempt Organizations on the Senate Finance Committee majority staff.

“Chris made brighter every room he entered with his positivity and sincerity. He had a way of injecting levity into difficult situations using humor and honesty. Chris was a public servant who brought a deep well of knowledge to his work, and he will leave behind a legacy of impact on so many lives that he was able to improve with his expertise, competence, and hard work. He was dedicated to his job but he didn’t miss living life. Chris was devoted to his family, whom he loved, and today I join in prayer for his wife, Lynda-Marie, and his daughters, Sophie and Lucie. Chris was a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will be greatly missed.”
