BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 22, 2025) — The Bettendorf Community School District is pleased to announce the selection of Scott Martin as the district’s new Director of Operations.

Martin brings a wealth of experience in school district operations, having most recently served as the Chief Operations Officer/Deputy Superintendent for Indianapolis Public Schools. He also previously held the role of Director of Operations for both the Davenport Community School District and Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation in Indiana.

“We are excited to welcome Scott to the BCSD team,” said Dr Michelle Morse, Superintendent of Schools. “He brings strong operational leadership, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a student-focused approach that aligns with our district’s goals. His experience and collaborative style will be a great asset as we continue to strengthen our operational systems and learning environments.”

Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. In addition to his professional work, he has been actively involved in community initiatives and values building strong partnerships to support student success.

Martin will begin his role with Bettendorf Community Schools on April 28.
