IVINS, UTAH (March 11, 2025) — Rocky Vista University (RVU) was honored to be a featured stop on Leadership Dixie's Education Day, providing participants an in-depth look at its innovative medical-education programs and commitment to health-care excellence. Leadership Dixie, a prestigious community-education program, has been developing informed and dynamic leaders for Washington County since 1998. As part of their “Challenge Day” series, participants visit local institutions to gain new ideas and insights into the needs and opportunities within their community and be inspired to contribute to the progress of Washington County.

During the tour, guests explored RVU's simulation labs, academic spaces, and student support resources. They also learned about the university's mission to provide high-quality medical education and its impact on health-care in Utah and beyond. Guests were also able to hear presentations about RVU's impact in the community from Dr Steven Harmon (Clinical Director of the Rocky Vista Health Center, Utah), Dr Amanda Brooks (Vice Provost of Research and Scholarly Activity), Rick Hann (Director of Campus Operations), and Carly Gonzalez (COM 2026 UT).
