EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 24, 2025) — Roots rocker Nikki Lunden Trotter (above), whose decades of live music experience include hitting rock bottom from addiction and bouncing back stronger, will perform an acoustic show of her original compositions Saturday, March 29.

Trotter, of Iowa City, has performed at numerous festivals and Pride events and is a former member of Lunden Reign in Los Angeles, and The Trollies in eastern Iowa. She currently leads Natural Habits; get a taste of her style here. Trotter will be joined by Patti Dee (above), a comedienne and balloon artist who owns Twisted Bo-Kay in Moline and is part of ComedySportz in the Quad Cities.

In addition, Quad Cities mural artist Sarah Robb (above) — whose work can be found on buildings in Davenport, Rock Island and Moline — will provide an immersive display of her large-scale work projected onto interior walls, and East Moline photographer Emily Freymann (below) will showcase some of her work.

“Experiencing the work of independent, original performing and visual artists is a chance to tap into a different kind of inspiration,” says Christine Hawes, editor of MainStream MultiMedia, the intersectional, alternative culture and news magazine and website hosting the house concert and art show. “It’s raw, vulnerable, brave and illuminating. This is a chance to connect directly with these artists, and bask in the chills of original creations in an intimate atmosphere.”

Trotter and Dee will both touch on their journies of recovery, and Trotter will introduce a song composed specifically for the event.

The evening starts at 5:30PM, with a Mingle and Meet & Greet to view the art and talk directly with the artists until 7PM. That's when Patti Dee, whose unique balloon art will also be showcased, takes the mic for a half-hour of original comedy. Dee’s previous experience also includes work as a performance clown. Trotter will follow with her concert at 7:30PM.

The event is at 659 15th Avenue, East Moline. Convenient parking is next door and along 15th Avenue. Hors d'œuvre will be served and while the event is non-alcoholic, the Palace Tavern is within fifty feet.

A requested donation of $7 benefits the performer. Space is limited; reserve your tickets at main-stream.org/house-concert. For more information, including to seek interviews with Trotter, Dee, Robb or Freymann, reach Hawes at 309-306-1372 or chawes@main-stream.org.
