BETTENDORF, IOWA (December 11, 2024) — The Quad Cities Chamber’s Legislative Agenda highlights the policy priorities of the regional business community for the year ahead.

Each agenda was shaped through one-on-one conversations, two focus groups and a survey of business leaders. That information is compiled, brought to the Chamber’s advocacy council and approved by the Chamber’s Board of Directors,

“The Quad Cities Chamber is eager to bring together business leaders and officials from both parties at all levels of government to promote pro-growth policy over the coming year," said Ryan Sempf, Executive Director of Government Affairs at the Chamber. "As the voice of the business community, we take seriously our role of educating policy makers on how they can help grow the Quad Cities. These priorities are a means to that end.”

Featured Illinois priorities are:

  • Deliver new funding for housing and quality of life in the Quad Cities region; and
  • Support continued investment in site-readiness and incentives that align with regional priorities.

The featured Iowa priority is:

  • Promote reorientation of state economic development incentives to focus on capital investment, innovation, site-readiness and talent attraction.

The featured local priority is:

  • Reduce the housing deficit by supporting the development of housing at all price points.

The full legislative agenda focuses on workforce, transportation and infrastructure, regulations, taxes, and incentives. Find the full agenda:
