COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (August 23, 2024) — We are celebrating Painted Dog Day on Saturday, August 24, at the Zoo, 10AM-4PM. Conservation Educators will be hosting activity tables at the 2 Painted Dog habitat overlook decks for you and your family to have fun while learning about this endangered species.

We will be raffling one Conservation Basket including three hand-crafted painted-dog felties, one snare-wire painted dog, one snare-wire rhino, one conservation-message plush rhino, and one conservation-message plush giraffe.

You have the chance to win this amazing collection valued at $200 with the purchase of a single raffle ticket for $5 or get five tickets for $20. You can buy as many tickets as you want right now using the button below. You do not have to be at the event to purchase raffle tickets but we hope you will still come join us.

All proceeds go directly to Niabi Zoo's conservation partner Painted Dog Research to continue to protect endangered African Painted Dogs in Zimbabwe, Africa. Raffle tickets can be purchased through August 26. The winner will be drawn on August 27. FYI, when purchasing raffle tickets, once in the cart, change Delivery to On-Site Pickup to remove the Delivery fee. Tickets are digital so there will be no physical ticket provided.
