EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 28, 2024) — Mt Zion Baptist Church, in collaboration with area Sister Churches, is proud to announce a special presentation of “The Living Last Supper: Is It I?,” a powerful dramatization inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's iconic painting, The Last Supper. The performances will take place on November 1, 7PM; November 2, 7PM; and November 3, 3PM, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, located at 1501 6th Ave, East Moline, Illinois.

Originally penned by Ernest K Emurian in 1954 at Cherrydale United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia, “The Living Last Supper: Is It I?” brings to life the emotional and spiritual depth of da Vinci’s masterpiece through a compelling blend of drama and devotion. Audiences will be drawn into the reflections of each disciple as they ask the haunting question, “Is it I?” — a powerful contemplation of loyalty, betrayal, and faith.

This dramatic portrayal invites the community to experience a heartfelt interpretation of the moments leading to Christ's crucifixion, set within the intimacy of the Last Supper.

All are welcome to attend this moving presentation, sponsored by Mt Zion Baptist Church and area Sister Churches. Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Dates and Times:

  • Friday, November 1, 7PM
  • Saturday, November 2, 7PM
