DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 30, 2019) — The Salvation Army will be opening a donations center at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds to accept donation related to residents displaced by the Mississippi River flooding. The Salvation Army will be accepting the following donations:

  • Water
  • Non Perishable Food/Packaged Snacks
  • Gatoraide/PowerAide
  • New Blankets
  • New Pillows
  • Towels/wash clothes
  • Comfort Kit Items: Shampoo, razor, tooth paste, tooth brush, bar soap, deodorant (M/F)

The donations will be accepted tomorrow, May 1, 10AM-4PM. Donations can be dropped off at the Belgian BLVD entrance, Building #6/7.

Officials from the City of Davenport and Scott County Emergency Management will be hosting a media-briefing related to the Mississippi River flooding impacting downtown Davenport and surrounding areas.
