ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 17, 2019) — The Midwest Writing Center’s publishing arm, MWC Press, has teamed up with local publisher, 918studio press, and its imprint, Legacy Book Press, for two book-writing contests. The winner of the memoir contest and two winners of the youth-book contest will win a publishing package, which includes book copies and a launch party.

Contestants in the youth-book contest have until August 31, 2019, to submit their original book-length fiction or non-fiction manuscripts in one of two age groups: 15 to 18 years old, and 14 and under. Original memoir manuscripts (no age-limit or requirements) are due by October 31, 2019, with the winner announced on or before November 15.
