Keep Iowa Beautiful (KIB) invites Iowa State Fair goers to participate in a Daily Photo Promotion August 10-20 at the State Fair. This daily photo contest invites fair attendees to capture the beauty of the Iowa State Fair during their visit, email the digital photo by midnight each day to Keep Iowa Beautiful (info@keepiowabeautiful.com) with their contact information. The daily winner will be awarded a one year subscription to Pioneer Publishing’s The Iowan magazine. “There are wonderful images to be photographed around our Great State Fair! We are excited to see the Iowa State Fair through the eyes of others.” said Gerry Schnepf, Executive Director of KIB. Judging the daily contest this year is KCCI 8 News Meteorologist Riley O’Connor. Look for Riley’s weather forecasts on KCCI 8 News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m. Keep Iowa Beautiful’s Gerry Schnepf and Bill Jackson will also be judging the constest. Fairgoers are encouraged to use their smartphones or cameras to snap a photo during the fair, email it to KIB for a chance to win each day. The photos may be used on KIB’s social media platforms and website. Stop by the Keep Iowa Beautiful booth in the air-conditioned Varied Industries Building to learn more about this photo promotion or search #StateFairBeautiful on Twitter and Facebook. Winners for the daily contest are selected after midnight each day of the fair. KIB reserves the right to use any submitted contest photos on KIB promotional materials, on social media and on the organization’s website.
