AMES, IOWA (June 11, 2019) — Graduating Iowa State University students seeking teacher-licensure were corded at a ceremony on Friday, May 10, in CY Stephen's Auditorium. As part of the celebration, each student received honors cords that were placed around their shoulders by the influential mentor of their choice.
The following graduates were corded at the ceremony and will begin their careers as educators.
Haley Burney, a(n) Elementary Education major from Davenport, Iowa, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Kaylee Docherty, a(n) Elementary Education major from Bettendorf, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Allison Harmon, a(n) Elementary Education major from Bettendorf, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Katlyn Irwin, a(n) Marketing and Management major from De Witt, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Mackenzie Kuehn, a(n) Elementary Education major from De Witt, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Nathan Rheingans, a(n) Elementary Education major from Eldridge, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Abigail Schneider, a(n) Elementary Education major from Eldridge, IA, is now prepared to teach children in elementary classrooms.
Iowa State's cording ceremony celebrates the official entry of graduating students into the impactful and challenging teaching profession.
