The Illinois Department of Employment Security has enhanced its services at the American Job Center office and will hold an Open House on Monday, November 20.

Director Jeff Mays will greet employees and other dignitaries at the 500 42nd Street, Rock Island, office at 11 a.m. The public ceremony, including a ribbon-cutting and remarks by Director Mays and local officials, will take place at 11:30 a.m.

“The office is more accessible to the public and we’ll offer a wider array of services by virtue of expanding the office at the American Job Center,” Mays said.

Following the ceremony, Director Mays will be available for group and/or one-on-one interviews with members of the local media.

We hope that you will announce this via your various platforms leading up to next week’s event and we hope to see a representative from your organization there on Monday.
