
SEWARD, NEBRASKA (May 6, 2024) — Concordia University, Nebraska honored graduating seniors who exhibited outstanding academic success during their time at the university during its annual Commencement Honors Dinner on May 3.
Among those honored was Nathan Hoft of Eldridge, Iowa.
Each year, academic departments may confer two or more awards, depending on the department's size and the number of students in a particular program. The basis for students' attainment of these awards is determined by each department; however, they must consider students' grade point averages, service to Concordia and service to the department.
Concordia's College of Arts and Sciences, represented by Dr Lisa Ashby, dean of the college, honored the following students:

- English, Communication, and Theatre Arts: Lauren Dawson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Nathan Hoft of Eldridge, Iowa
- History, Geography, Intercultural Studies and Modern Foreign Language: Nathan Demlow of St Paul, Minnesota
- Music: Thomas Schulteis of Parker, Colorado, Isaac Weander of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Calvin Rohde of Reed City, Michigan
