DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 25, 2020) — Gilda’s Club will host a free series of virtual art workshops called “Creative Sessions” on Mondays at 10AM in July 2020. Creative sessions are designed and facilitated by Pamela Crouch, Executive Director of Living Proof Exhibit.

Art is a great way to help calm our bodies and minds during this time of isolation. It gives us something constructive and fun to do with our time. These special virtual sessions are designed around using materials you may already have at home to make beautiful art projects.

These virtual Creative Sessions will be held each Monday (excluding holidays) via Zoom until the need for social distancing is over.

Monday, July 13: Homemade Paints (supplies needed: veggies, fruit, powdered sugar, saucepan, strainer, cups for mixture, brushes, paper).

Monday, July 20: Pine Cone Zinnias (supplies needed: pinecones, sharp knife, paints, paint brush; optional wreath to attach completed flowers).

Monday, July 27: Steampunk Birdhouses (supplies needed: birdhouse, metallic acrylic paint, various pieces of metal, strong glue).
