Gilda’s Club Quad Cities is Looking for the Quad Cities Best Talent

DAVENPORT, Iowa, February 2017 –The Genesis Cancer Care Institute will be welcoming Jon Dorenbos; America’s Got Talent finalist, magician, NFL player, and survivor of a traumatic childhood, for the 8th annual Captivating Conversations fundraiser on March 31, 2017 at the new Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport IA.

To kick off this event, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities is looking for talented individuals or groups from the Quad Cities and outlying areas to share their talent for a chance to be 1 of 2 opening acts for Jon Dorenbos.  Anyone with talent that lives within a 50 mile radius of the Quad Cities is encouraged to submit their application and video.  All acts must be family friendly and performers must be comfortable performing live in front of a large audience.  All submissions must be received no later than February 15, 2017.

Gilda’s Club has secured a panel of judges from the Quad City area which will be reviewing all applicants to select a total of 8 Finalists (4 in each age group).  Videos will be judged based on the following criteria: entertainment value, how the talent will translate to the big stage, professionalism and showmanship, as well as proficiency and skill mastery.

The top 8 Finalists will be announced on February 22 and will each have their video shared at www.gildasclubqc/qctalent where the public will cast their votes for their favorite talent.  Voting will take place February 24, 2017 through March 29, 2017.  Each vote is $1 and the talent with the top votes in each age category will perform their talent, live on stage, at our Captivating Conversations event on March 31, 2017.
