DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 10, 2023) — Iowa Donor Network (IDN) is proud to announce that Genesis Medical Center in Davenport is the recipient of Iowa Donor Network’s 2023 LEGACI Award for Gratitude. An award presentation ceremony is being held on Monday, April 10, 2023, 10AM, at Genesis Medical Center, outside at the flagpole, and members of the media are invited to attend. A Donate Life flag raising ceremony in honor of National Donate Life Month will also take place during the event.
LEGACI Awards are given to IDN’s partner agencies and/or their dedicated team members for going above and beyond to collaborate with IDN on meeting its mission of “Working Together to Transform Lives through Organ and Tissue Donation.” There are six categories under the LEGACI Awards: Leadership, Education, Gratitude, Advocacy, Clinical Excellence, and Innovation. The award for Gratitude is given to individuals and/or partner agencies who seeks opportunities to share a personal story of donation, demonstrates a personal connection to donor families through participation in events to honor donors, and engages donor families in donation initiatives.
Donation is a collaborative effort and Iowa Donor Network is grateful to the entire Genesis team for all they do to promote donation in their hospital and their community. To learn more about Iowa Donor Network and to register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor visit IowaDonorNetwork.org.
