Friendship Manor’s current campus was founded by the Illinois Branch of the Kings Daughters and Sons in 1979. They are the only continuing care retirement community in the Illinois Quad Cities, offering all levels of care for seniors from independent through skilled nursing.
Over the years, Friendship Manor has continually added services and expanded amenities. They’re currently in the midst of an extensive update, the 2024 Re-Establishing Friendship project, with the first phase of improvements expected to open in November. The campus-wide project is anticipated to be finalized in Summer 2025, with upgrades including a state-of-the-art therapy center, fully-remodeled independent living apartments, and extensive aesthetic updates.
During this exciting time, Friendship Manor is eager to celebrate this milestone anniversary with the community and hopes to see many new and familiar faces join them for September’s Sapphire Celebration.
“We want to show off what the Manor has to offer now and what the coming years will bring,” Friendship Manor CEO Ted Pappas said.
