CLINTON, IOWA (March 7, 2018) — The Felix Adler Children's Discovery Center, "Clinton, Iowa's Children's Museum," is juggling, crafting, and swimming its way through March with engaging hands-on activities and events. Miss Jean will be here on Sunday. You can make a lucky leprechaun out of popsicle sticks at WOW Wednesday. Then, join Miss Jessica for a swimming good time at Funtime Friday. Each of these programs is free with regular admission or museum membership. Also save the date for the egg-cellent annual Omelet Breakfast at the Discovery Center on Sunday, March 24.
Sundays with Miss Jean
Sunday, March 10, 2-5PM, is Sunday with Miss Jean. She is here on the second and fourth Sunday afternoons of each month, and you can join her for juggling, chess, and logic puzzles. She teaches beginning chess to all, from preschoolers through adult, or she will play a strategic game with an opponent to match their skill level.
Additionally, she loves to juggle and can teach anyone of any age to become a successful juggler. Also, Sweeney has on hand three large cases of logic puzzles, construction materials, and hands on brain teasers to fascinate any age. She can teach anyone; all ages and abilities are welcome.
WOW Wednesday
Wednesday, March 13, 2-5PM. is a WOW Wednesday at the Discovery Center, sponsored by US Bank Foundation. Make your own lucky leprechaun from popsicle sticks for St Patrick’s Day. WOW Wednesday is perfect for school-aged kids and their families and is a great activity for a school break or early out. WOW Wednesday is drop in with no pre-registration required — it is an enrichment program with no extra class fee.
Miss Jean is also here every WOW Wednesday, with her chess, juggling, and logic puzzles. She just bought some new patterning-challenges, so come check them out.
Funtime Friday
Friday, March 15, at 10AM, is Funtime Friday, sponsored by Clinton Kiwanis Club and Alliant Energy Foundation. Join Miss Jessica from Clinton County Conservation with her live minnow friends and have a race to the finish line. Miss Jessica often comes to the Discovery Center with some of her furry and finned friends to share her love of all animals with the children. Funtime Friday always includes the children enjoying a tasty snack. This popular program is designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups, although all age children are welcome anytime, especially during school breaks.
Annual Omelet Breakfast
Save the date for the egg-traordinary 31st annual Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser held at the Discovery Center, on Sunday, March 24, 8AM-1PM. This is one egg-cellent opportunity to enjoy delicious food, good company, and support your local children’s museum. "Celebrity" chefs will be serving made-to-order omelets and other delicious fare. The ticket price includes admission to the children's museum and guests are invited to stay and play. Tickets are on sale now at the Discovery Center: $9 in advance for adults and teens, and $10 at the door; $5 for children ages four to 12 years; and free for children ages three and younger.

The Discovery Center is located at 332 8th Avenue South in downtown Clinton, Iowa, at the foot of the US 30 Bridge over the mighty Mississippi — where the Lincoln Highway meets the Great River Road. They are open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 9:30AM-5PM, and Sundays 12:30-5PM. Museum admission is $4 per person ages two to 64, $3 per person ages 65 and older, free for children one and younger, and free for members of the children's museum.
