Miss Jean is also here every WOW Wednesday, with her chess, juggling, and logic puzzles. Additionally, she loves to juggle and can teach anyone of any age to become a successful juggler. Also, she has on hand three large cases of logic puzzles, construction materials, and hands-on brain teasers to fascinate any age. She can teach anyone; all ages and abilities are welcome.

Funtime Friday: Celebrate National Clown Day
Friday, August 2, at 10AM, is Funtime Friday, sponsored by Clinton Kiwanis Club and Alliant Energy Foundation. Have a blast helping the Discovery Center celebrate National Clown Day. As always this program includes a snack and craft to go with the theme. This popular program is designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups, although all age children are welcome anytime, especially during summer vacations when everyone is out of school.
Fareway Fundraiser Cookout
Friday, August 2, 11AM-1PM, the Fareway Food Store in Clinton will host a Fundraiser Cookout to benefit the Discovery Center. Come up to the store, as the Fareway team will be grilling up lunch and serving it to shoppers on site. The lunch deal is $5 and includes a delicious Fareway hamburger or bratburger, chips and a drink, and a homemade cookie or bar. Also, businesses can call the Discovery Center to have their lunch delivered by a helpful Discovery Center Volunteer. The Discovery Center will receive all the profits and tips. Storytime Saturday: “Little Animals”
Every Saturday during this summer at 10AM is Storytime Saturday with Ms. Cotton. Enjoy a good book (or two!) on a Saturday morning with Rachel Cotton, an Americorps Literacy Volunteer. This week’s theme is “Little Animals.” Ms. Cotton will bring her passion for books, reading and fun; and many will know her from her work at Eagle Heights Elementary this year. Running less than an hour each Saturday, the program is designed to engage all levels of readers — emerging to proficient — and promises to be great family fun. A FREE enrichment program with your regular museum admission!
