MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 17, 2025) — The National Congress of Old West Shootists (NCOWS) Convention is set to bring the Old West to life once again at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Davenport, Iowa, March 21-23, 2025.

The convention offers an exciting lineup of events for history enthusiasts, reenactors, and cowboy action shooting fans, including:

Seminars: Step back in time and explore fascinating aspects of the Old West through a variety of engaging presentations, such as:

  • March 21, 2-3PM: Old West Gambling – Learn how to play Faro
  • March 21, 3:30-4:30PM: Confederate Sidearms
  • March 22, 9:30-10:30AM: Tintype Photography — Learn about the original process and get your picture taken
  • March 22, 11AM-12PM: Reloading for the Long-Range Buffalo Gun — A how-to for shooting enthusiasts
  • March 22, 2-3PM: History of the Rock Island Arsenal
  • March 22, 3:30-4:30PM: Life and Times of Wild Bill Hickok — Bring the kids to meet Wild Bill himself and hear about his adventures

Old West Show and Sale: This fifty-table show features vendors offering period-specific goods, including clothing, firearms (both reproduction and antique), leather goods, books, collectibles, and much more.

Public Welcome: The event is open to the public, and you do not need to be an NCOWS member to attend. A one-day pass, payable at the door for just $5, grants access to the show, sale, and all seminars that day.
