GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN (June 19, 2025) — Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative is investing in the future of the next generation through its annual scholarship program. Five young adults will receive $2,000 scholarship awards to pursue higher education. Two scholarships will be awarded to students currently enrolled in college or a university, and three scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors.

“At Edge, it’s a great honor to support our members’ families and students pursuing secondary education,” Tim Trotter, Edge CEO, said. “We hope that all students, whether attending a technical college, a four-year university or other educational programs, feel they have the chance to learn new skills and gain valuable experiences that they can carry with them throughout their lives and also bring back to the farm.”

The 2025 scholarship recipients:

  • Samia Gonzalez-Quizhpe of Waupaca, Wisconsin, will be studying nursing.

  • Owen Klussendorf of Medford, Wisconsin, will be attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for the Farm and Industry Short Course. He will be studying dairy herd management and agricultural business.

  • Jacob Treml of Casco, Wisconsin, will be attending Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to study heavy equipment diesel mechanics.

  • Chloe Breunig of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, will be a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall. She is studying dairy science and plans to manage her family’s dairy farm after graduation.

  • Kate Pasanen of Exeland, Wisconsin, is currently studying dairy science and agricultural business at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She plans to return to her family’s dairy farm after completing her Bachelor's degree.
