PLEASANT HILL, IOWA (November 22, 2024) — The Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa (EDCI) is proud to announce the launch of a virtual course library designed to provide medical professionals, dietitians, and mental-health providers with specialized training to increase identification of disordered-eating concerns and strengthen proficiency in treating eating disorders.
The courses will be available on the EDCI website at edciowa.com/training beginning on Monday, December 2, 2024.
The eight foundational courses offer a wide range of evidence-based, educational content, tailored to meet the diverse needs of providers. Courses are self-paced and participants may purchase one course, four courses, or all eight courses. Continuing Education (CE) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be granted for nurses, dietitians, social workers, and physicians. Other professionals, such as counselors, are invited to submit certification of course completion to their respective licensing bodies.
