DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 10, 2024) — On Saturday, December 14, 3-6PM, free horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered on E 2nd St, in downtown Davenport courtesy of the Downtown Davenport Partnership. Pick-up and drop-off will be at Bechtel Park, located at the intersection of 2nd St and Iowa St.

Additional activities in downtown Davenport Saturday include the German American Heritage Center’s Christkindlmarkt and the Adler Theatre’s evening showing of The Nutcracker.

“This year I was excited to finally be able to offer horse-drawn wagon rides in downtown Davenport. Customers have asked for this experience, and we’re happy to offer it on a busy Saturday during Deck the Downtowns,” said Alisha Espey, Program and Event Director for the Downtown Davenport Partnership.

Deck the Downtowns, presented by TBK Bank, continues through January 1. Hunt for the holiday pickle in downtown businesses and vote for your favorite storefront in the holiday display challenge.

Deck the Downtowns is a joint promotion of the Downtown Davenport Partnership, Rock Island Downtown Alliance, and Downtown Bettendorf Organization, divisions of the Quad Cities Chamber.
