DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 12, 2023) — Quad Cities Pride in Memory started as a project to capture oral histories from local LGBTQ+ seniors, telling their own stories in their own words. The sweep of this history from around 1960 to the present was so compelling that they decided to create panels which display this history and help explain major events during those years.
Join us on Monday, May 15, 6:30PM, Eastern, for Quad Cities Pride in Memory's presentation, which will discuss the project and the exhibit that they've created. The presentation will help the audience understand local events and personal experiences documented in the exhibit and the context within national events.
The Mission of Quad Cities Pride in Memory is to document and preserve the local LGBTQ+ history of the Quad Cities area and to provide educational opportunities for the public.
