EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 21, 2025) — For the fifth consecutive year, Culver’s restaurants across the Midwest are rallying behind Living Lands and Waters in celebration of Earth Day. On April 22, guests can make a difference simply by indulging in their favorite Culver’s meal. A remarkable ten percent of net sales made from 73 participating Culver’s restaurants will be generously donated to Living Lands and Waters, a 501(c)(3) environmental organization committed to cleaning up America’s rivers.

What started as a modest initiative in 2021 with thirteen participating restaurants has grown into a regional movement.

Thanks to the dedication of Culver Franchising and the Culver’s Foundation, this year will see 73 restaurants joining forces to support the cause. This year also marks an incredible milestone with more restaurants participating for the full day than in any year’s past.

The impact of this one-day fundraiser cannot be overstated. Since 2021, this campaign has raised over $100,000, which has played a pivotal role in funding Living Lands and Waters’ mission to clean up and restore the nation’s rivers.

“I am extremely proud and thankful of the Culver’s community for continuing to be united in supporting this Midwest-based organization that truly has a global impact.  At Culver’s, we like to say ‘together we are better’, this partnership is a true testament to that spirit and mindset,” said Mike Martel, Culver’s Owner/Operator.

Chad Pregracke, Founder and President of Living Lands and Waters, shared his gratitude: “Culver’s continues to amaze us with their commitment to our mission. Their support has been instrumental in making a lasting difference for our rivers and the communities that rely on them.”

Forty-three Culver’s establishments will support the cause throughout the day, with thirty additional locations joining the initiative 4-8PM. A list of participating Culver’s locations can be found at the end of this message.

Culver’s invites everyone to join in this meaningful endeavor on Earth Day, supporting the preservation of our natural resources and the communities that depend on them.

About Living Lands and Waters

Living Lands & Waters is a 501(c)(3) environmental organization founded by Chad Pregracke in 1998. The organization's mission is to aid in the protection, preservation, and restoration of the natural environment of the nation's major rivers and their watersheds. From its single-boat beginning, LLW has grown to an industrial-strength, internationally known organization with a fleet of barges and workboats.

To date, LLW has removed over thirteen million pounds of debris from America’s rivers and engaged more than 120,000 volunteers in hands-on activities, including river cleanups, environmental education workshops, and tree plantings. For more information, visit livinglandsandwaters.org.
