BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 1, 2025) — The Bettendorf Community School District proudly recognizes and celebrates the dedication, compassion, and impact of our school paraeducators. These essential team members play a critical role in supporting students, teachers, and the entire school community.

Paraeducators — often known as paraprofessionals, teacher aides, instructional assistants, or classroom-support professionals — work across a variety of settings to provide academic support, assist students with special needs, foster inclusive classrooms, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

"Paraprofessionals are the heart behind the scenes," said Dr Michelle Morse, Bettendorf Community School District Superintendent. "They show up every day to ensure students are supported, engaged, and empowered to learn. Their patience, care, and dedication make a real difference in our schools."

Across the district, paraprofessionals support instruction in classrooms, help students develop essential life skills, provide language assistance, and build meaningful relationships that contribute to student growth and well-being.

Paraprofessionals bring invaluable expertise, empathy, and commitment to their roles, often going above and beyond to ensure students are seen, heard, and supported. On this special day — and every day — Bettendorf Community School District extends its heartfelt thanks to each and every paraprofessional who helps our schools thrive.
