MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 10, 2024) — The excitement is building as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) prepares to host the 29th Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship at the prestigious TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, from May 14-17, 2024.

As announced by the NAIA, the participating teams and individuals have been revealed, with thirty teams and six individual qualifiers making up the 156-player field. Among the teams vying for the championship title are reigning champions and perennial contenders, along with new faces eager to make their mark on the national stage.

“We are thrilled to once again serve as the host for the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship,” said Dave Herrell, President and CEO of Visit Quad Cities. “Building on the success of last year's event, we are excited to welcome student-athletes, administrators and fans from across the country to the Quad Cities region.”

Herrell highlighted the strategic importance of hosting the event, emphasizing its alignment with the goals of Sports QC. As a private 501(c)(3) non-profit division of Visit Quad Cities, Sports QC spearheads the sports-tourism initiative for the Quad Cities regional destination. This opportunity greatly contributes to the organization’s sports-tourism efforts.

The championship will kick off with the first wave teeing off at 7AM CST on Tuesday, May 14, with subsequent waves following throughout the morning and afternoon. Tee times and pairings for the first two rounds have been meticulously arranged to ensure a competitive and fair playing field for all participants.

“After two full rounds have been completed, the field will be cut, advancing the top fifteen teams (plus ties) and six individuals who have not already made the cut with their teams (plus ties) to the subsequent rounds,” explained a representative from the NAIA.

TPC Deere Run, renowned for its challenging yet picturesque layout, will provide the perfect backdrop for the pinnacle event in NAIA women's golf. Nestled along the banks of the picturesque Rock River, the championship course promises to test the skills and resilience of all competitors.

“We are proud of our partnership with the NAIA and grateful for their confidence in the Quad Cities,” said Joan Kranovich, Vice President of Business Growth and Director of Sports. “Together with our partners at St Ambrose University, TPC Deere Run, and the local community, we are committed to delivering an unparalleled student-athlete experience and for everyone involved.”
