DES MOINES, IOWA (March 19, 2025) — Iowans and organizations passionate about Iowa’s outdoor activities and natural resources will come together on Thursday, March 20, 7:45AM, at the Iowa State Capitol Rotunda (1007 E Grand Ave, Des Moines), to show their support of conservation and protecting spaces for recreation. The celebration will create space for a wide array of partners, people, and ideas to come together in celebration of Iowa’s outdoors. This family-friendly event will feature interactive displays, engaging speakers, and the opportunity for Iowans to share their own connection to the outdoors. This will be an opportunity for Iowans to connect with legislators and meet others who are invested in shaping a meaningful legacy for Iowa and its communities.
Celebrate Iowa’s Outdoors will start with a press conference featuring Luke Hoffman, Executive Director of the Iowa Bicycle Coalition, and Adam Shirley, Iowa’s County Conservation System, who will both speak on the economic benefits of Iowa’s outdoors.
