Lissie Our little hub here in Rock Island feels doubly cool on a day such as Sunday when we have into the studio a young, local talent gone Los Angeles in Lissie, then a few hours after she left to go swim at the pool and eat hamburgers we have one of Daytrotter's original alums and makers of one of the coolest records of the year, Koufax, by for the second session of the day, and last, to cap the day, one of the premier hip-hoppers on the planet: Aesop Rock.

Being at the studio for 12 hours was worth every second of it with Rob Soniq and DJ Big Wiz and Aesop planting themselves in the studio for a couple of hours after the long drive from South Dakota. The session is spectacular, and you can expect to see it on Daytrotter.com soon.

We're welcoming in Paper Route, Delta Spirit, Southeast Engine, TK Webb & the Visions, HEALTH, Aimee Mann, and J Roddy into the studio for sessions this week.

Our other big event of the week is a return to the Daytrotter Presents live shows with Southeast Engine playing this Saturday night at Huckleberry's Pizza Parlor in downtown Rock Island at 7 p.m. Cover is $5, and the show will start promptly at 7 p.m. Come on out and then head over to see Eve 6. - Daytrotter
