PELLA, IOWA (February 24, 2025) — Playing higher competition, the Central College men's tennis team lost two matches Saturday.

"I love playing out-of-division competition early in the season. It is tough, and our team had to dig deep in these matches," coach Ryun Ferrell said. "Our team responded well, including some athletes that were sick, but this group fought, and we played great despite the losses."

PELLA, IOWA (February 17, 2025) — Led by a career-high thirty points from Abby Johnson (senor, Ankeny), the Central College women's basketball team took down the University of Dubuque 65-57.

Johnson shot eleven-of-twenty from the field, including six-of-twelve from three-point range. She added six rebounds and one steal.

PELLA, IOWA (February 6, 2025) — Coach Mel Blasi returns for his eighth season despite losing six seniors, a youth movement has excited him.

The Dutch bring in six freshmen while also returning five seniors, five juniors, and two sophomores.

STORM LAKE, IOWA (February 6, 2025) — An eighteen/zip run in the third quarter from Buena Vista University was enough to give the Beavers a 72-64 win over Central College women's basketball team.

"We have to have more urgency early in the game," said coach Justin Weiland. "Our energy was better in the second half, but we need to play cleaner on the offensive side of the ball. We had a lot of unforced turn-overs which set us back."

PELLA, IOWA (January 27, 2025) — A slow start caused the Central College women's basketball team to fall to N° 12-ranked Wartburg College 70-58.

The Dutch (11-7, 4-4 American Rivers) got behind fourteen/six at the end of the first quarter but responded well by only trailing 55-52 the other three quarters.
