Kris Lager Band at the Redstone Room October 10

Kris Lager Band, the Thrift Store Junkies from the heartland, play soul music and Boogie Trance. With their hot new album 'Swagadocious' these self-proclaimed 'Rock Revivalists' are quickly spreading their celebrate life mantra to the masses.

These hard working troubadours just recorded another album in San Francisco in April  produced by Kelly Finnegan, and Ian Anderson of The Monophonics.  Signed with a very reputable agency, The Jettison Agency, which has them booked at some of the hottest festivals and clubs in the country. Plus, they are set to release another studio album produced by Grammy Award winner Tab Benoit this summer called Platte River Runaway. Which they recorded in Louisiana at Tab's home studio, Whiskey Bayou Studios.

The Kris Lager Band has spent the better part of ten years on tour honing their sound, style, and message, including backing Mato Nanji, as Indigenous from 2007 to 2009. During that period they were featured on the Vanguard Records release Broken Lands produced by Jamie Candiloro (REM, Willie Nelson, Ryan Adams).
Their new album features recently departed blues legend Magic Slim on an impromptu off the cuff track, as well as a polished horn section on five of the cuts giving 'Swagadocious',  KLB's fifth studio album a unique and undeniably fresh vibe.
KLB is spearheaded by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Kris Lager, who rips out face melting solos and hypnotic riffs. Jeremiah Weir on keyboards and percussions is the perfect melodic counterpart and always brings the high holiness to the stage. The backbeat of the band is brought to you by freestyle extraordinaire John Fairchild, who has logged seven years with the group and is a tour de force on the kit. Brandon Miller rounds out the ensemble on bass with a solid low end that holds it all together and a high kick Chuck Norris would be proud of.

Who Else Annual Pig Roast & the Kris Lager Band!

Award Winning Kris Lager Band to play to the Who Else Annual Pig Roast in Nelson, Illinois at 11:00pm
The Kris Lager Band tends to do their own thing without a lot of fanfare.. such as opening for heavy hitters the Los Lonely Boys, or keeping their new CD, which is being produced by Grammy nominee Tab Benoit, a quiet project. They march to the beat of their own drum, and that drum is steady and strong, allowing the foursome to produce music that gets fans up and moving and keeps them up for the entire set.


A touring jam band, KLB has opened for crowds of 30,000 plus, playing with Los Lonely Boys,  Sharon Jones, Blues Traveler, Indigenous, and frequenting venues such as the Hard Rock Café, BB Kings and South by Southwest, as well as headlining their own shows.   The Kris Lager Band is currently in the studio working on a new release, but are still including favorites from past collections including Roots Revival, Transient, and The Mighty Quinn.

As a preview for their fans, they are offering up a new untitled CD showcasing their new music being currently recorded in the studio.
The Kris Lager Band is a Nebraska born group of musicians who have dedicated their lives to learning, living, and loving all aspects of the American music tradition. Self proclaimed "Roots Revivalists", KLB brings an eclectic, original, high energy show to each and every stage they happen to land on. The Kris Lager Band toured as the opener for the Native American Blues Rock band Indigenous.  Front man Mato Nanji liked their sound so much that he hired the 4 musicians to be in his band for nearly 3 years.  After touring the country with Indigenous and playing on his latest release "Broken Lands" the Kris Lager Band is currently back on their own musical path and more enthusiastic than ever to take it to the people.  Their time with Mato has definitely provided a great deal of experience but they were ready to get out there and do their own thing....and their thing is a ton of fun.

The Kris Lager Band, winners of the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards Best Blues category for the 4th consecutive year, will be playing on May 11th at the Redstone Room in Davenport, Iowa  General admission- tickets are available at the door.  The Kris Lager Band, just returned from recording with blues legend Tab Benoit in Louisiana.  They expect to release the CD this summer and will be featuring music off that CD in upcoming shows.
