USDA Invests $16.3 Million to Strengthen Infrastructure and Create Jobs in Rural Iowa

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 28, 2023) — US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director in Iowa Theresa Greenfield today announced that the Agency is investing $13,435,000 in loans and $2,946,000 in grants to five projects in Iowa to strengthen infrastructure, promote business expansion and create jobs.

USDA Announces $72.9 Million in Grant-Funding Awarded to Support US Specialty-Crop Producers; Marks $1 Billion in Investments through This Program

WASHINGTON DC (August 23, 2023) — The US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced $72.9 million awarded to 55 states and territories through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP). The grant program provides funding to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops and support specialty-crop growers through marketing, education, and research.
